The challenge of keeping multiples occupied is sometimes a tough one. Luckily, there are quite a few attractions here in Singapore which children may enjoy. We are not going to rewrite the Singapore city guides but here are already some ideas, which are not only good for the kids, but for the parents and visitors too!

March, April and May	Learn Chinese Calligraphy - Standard Script at the Asian Civilisations Museum, Armenian Street, on Wednesday, 7pm to 9pm. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Mar and 6, 13, 20, 27 Apr and 4 May. $100/participant for 10 lessons. Materials at additional cost. Available for purchase on the first lesson. Limited to 16 participants. Pre-registration needed. In Chinese calligraphy, there is a style known as Standard script (Kai Shu) which are characterised by their squarish shape and coherent structure. Under the coaching of established calligrapher, Mr Tan Shee Ping, you will be able to complete a piece of Standard script at the end of the course. The course is conducted in English. every first saturday of the month from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm	The Central Singapore Food Fable Trail brings participants to one chinese, malay, indian restaurant. These restaurants have more than 50 years of history. You will get a chance to savour the signature dishes of the restaurants and get a chance to learn about heritage and historical significance of food at the same time!

all year round - on a rainy afternoon	Become a member of the the Hip Kids' Club and you can go to the playground on Level II at the Forum Shopping Mall. Membership Fee for two years is only S$10. Although it is already a bargain they still have a twin friendly policy, you even have to pay once for your twins! Height limit for entry to the playground is 120cm.

all year round - on a rainy afternoon	why not go and visit a museum together with the kids? have a look at the national heritage board's website if you do not know where to go. they even have a children's discovery gallery which is an interactive gallery designed specially for 7 to 12 year olds. it is divided into four main areas and touches on the history of the singapore river.

on a rainy day	There are some indoor playgrounds which we haven't tested yet, please let us know if they are suitable for twins! The Fun Maze is open from 10am to 10pm at either Tampines Mall or Parkway Parade and you have to pay SS$8 per hour. And then there is SAFRA at Toa Payoh on Lor 6. Weekdays it opens from 1-7pm and on weekends from 9am to 7pm. Non-members have to pay S$3,10 on weekdays and S$5,20 on weekends.

Friday from 10:30am to 12 noon	On 1 Greendale Ave you will find PaintWorks at Kairos which is supplying art materials and has a painting studio. For example they offer a class called "Moms & Tots Story & Crafts" on a Friday suitable for kids aged 3 to 6. It will start in November 2004 and cost approximately S$25 per session. all year round	There is not only the Botanical Gardens to visit. Why don't you take the kids once in a while to Pasir Ris Park or Labrador Park? Both parks got recommended by NMSG for having nice playgrounds.
